One week after keyhole bunion surgery and I am astonished that I can walk with very little pain and discomfort. Many people advised me not to have surgery because it's extremely painful and very debilitating due to the long recovery period. However, for me, they couldn't be further from the truth! I am so happy I opted for surgery and am amazed at how mobile I am at this early stage. Mr Kunasingam treated me in 2019 to remove a bursa on my foot - which again was very successful - and during my appointments with him, we discussed that my bunion was getting progressively worse and how much relief I would feel if it was removed. He talked me through the process and told me to think about it and return to him when I felt ready. Just over a year on and I wished I'd had surgery sooner. I know it's early days and I have a way to go before I'm fully recovered, but as long as I follow Mr Kunasingam's 'maintenance plan,' I have no doubt that this overall experience will be a positive one. As soon as you meet Mr Kunasingam you realise how passionate he is about his work, but most of all he is compassionate, caring and informative with his patients, taking the time to talk you through every process leaving you rest assured and relaxed about your pending surgery. Mr Kunasingam is a talented surgeon who I would highly recommend for bunion surgery.
