I had suffered the destruction of my left clavicle from a motorcycle accident. Damage to the bone was extensive, it was split horizontally and vertically: an operation to collate the parts for healing was essential. Following great and decisive care at Hemel Fracture Clinic I was referred to Watford General and the department of Mr Deierl's. Mr Deierl was focused, professional, frank and informed from the word "go". He consulted us fully and honestly on the pro's and con's of the procedure and was supportive and excited when I elected to move forward. His enthusiasm and conviction were pure and firmly underpinned validated confidence in his capabilities. Supportive even into the operating theatre (!!) the summary from the Doctors when I came around bore-out why: the op was complex but a complete success. Krisztian had used an ORIF and bone graft to skilfully re-construct the bone - the results via X-Ray were compelling, everyone was pleased with the outcome. With little to no pain in the interim, the follow-up appointment 2 weeks later with Mr Deierl found the bone healing nicely without restriction, internal damage or even loss of sensation. The scar whilst long was now minimal. Prognosis is good as I move to physiotherapy I couldn't be happier or more impressed by Mr Deierl's work. (Which was performed the night before Xmas Eve at short notice). Great chap, Great skill, Thank you.
