I Was born with a condition known as microcia (an under developed ear). Had reconstruction surgery when I was young. In 1995 I was offered a prosthetic ear which was fine until a few years ago when I started to get infection after infection. This is when I decided to speak to my GP and get referred to see a plastic surgeon. It was then I got to meet Mr Stewart and his team. Mr Stewart asked what I was looking for and I explained all about my ear, Mr Stewart then examined me and informed me that he could perform the reconstruction surgery and explained all that would need to be done in order to reconstruct a new ear for me. Two main procedures to reconstruct an ear and maybe a third. I've now had my two main surgery's done and waiting for my third, just some fine detailing. Mr Stewart is professional in every way and has a great team with him, listened to all my questions and concerns. He then explained all that had to be done in detail, what he hoped could be achieved and the risks involved. From the first time I met Mr Stewart I knew that I was in good hands. I would highly recommend Mr Stewart. He is caring and and in my opinion a great surgeon. I know this because of the result of my surgery, my ear is excellent and I couldn't have asked for more. I can't thank Mr Stewart and his team enough. Once again thanks for my new ear.
