After two years waiting for an appointment via the NHS, I received a letter to see Mr J Kitson at the Lister Hospital on 22nd September 2022. I arrived at the Lister Hospital to see Mr Kitson, after I had an updated MRI of my spine, only to be informed that he was on holiday and that there was no-one else who could see me in his absence. As I have Stage 3 Cancer, it was difficult for me to attend, but I was anxious to see Mr Kitson for his advice on my lumber spine problem, and to see what the outcome was of my up to date MRI that was rushed through in time for my appointment to see Mr Kitson. I am still waiting for a response from either Mr Kitson or his secretary. It is absolutly impossible to try and speak to either one of them. I have called every number only to receive a message advising me that "the inbox you have called is full, goodbye"!! What these consultants do not really understand is that at the end of every appointment is a real person with a real problem who has probably waited a very long time to see them only to be fobbed off with some excuse as to why your appointment has been cancelled without them even advising you of the same.
