Having had a major car accident 43 years ago resulting in considerable lack of flexion in my right knee, I was somewhat nervous at the prospect of engaging with Mr Craik for a much needed total knee replacement. Mr Craik took time to understand my concerns but never wavered in his expectation of a positive outcome. His reassurance with a caring smile from the first consultation to discharge made the whole journey worthwhile. Mr Craik’s explanation of the risks involved were outweighed by his positivity and the trust he engendered. Now, nine weeks on and following lots of physio and hydro therapy I have greater flexion in the joint than before surgery and will this afternoon be swinging a golf club for the first time post op.
