Following a referral by my GP, which I did not ask for, I received a phone call from Mr Grabham. I was shocked by his immediate attitude, he wasn't interested in my problem, he simply told me that he was not prepared to look into it any more as I'd had tests done 6 months previously. I asked him politely if things could possibly have changed, as I have been in constant pain which reduces me to tears for the last nine weeks, and he replied quite aggressively, no, 100%, I know my job - I never implied that he didn't know his job, I was simply asking a question. He seemed angry with both myself and my GP, saying that he didn't know why I'd been referred, and I said it was because my doctor was concerned when he saw the amount of pain I was in. I tried to ask him what the problem could be, and he accused me of raising my voice, which was totally untrue, and slammed the phone down. I have never encountered such arrogance and rudeness, I don't dispute that he's a good surgeon and he has a large number of patients, but it wasn't my fault that my GP was trying to do his best for me. This has caused me added distress and I simply hoped for some advice regarding my problems, and not to be made to feel that I was wasting his time.
