I can’t understand the reviews as my experience could not have been more different. I was left waiting for 3-4 hrs in his clinics. He barely spoke to me, never examined me once and my operation not surprisingly didn’t go well. That said he didn’t appear to know much about it and didn’t come to see me until a week later when I should have gone home. He didn’t bother to call my family to say how things went and it was several days before I was well enough to speak to them. Neither did I know he had done an open procedure as he didn’t bother to come and see me post op. I only learned of this when the dressing was changed, I was supposed to have a reversal 8-12 weeks later but it was done almost 2yrs later. I never even saw him again. He gave an opposite explanation to that given to my GP. Due to his failure to listen and afford me adequate care the problem has not been resolved and I need further major surgery. I would be guarded about these glowing reviews. He may well be capable of better and I suspect may not even have done the procedure himself. However, it was not a one off poor experience, he displayed a continuous neglectful attitude. He didn’t reassure me or explain the op and spoke in monosyllables. I was deemed unworthy of his time and effort and a major problem that was uncovered has not been dealt with. Nor have I ever seen a gastroenterologist post op or had follow up tests that were ordered. I would be interested to know how many of the patients leaving these outstanding reviews were treated privately.
