I chose Mr James Young for my surgery very carefully. The reviews here almost understate how excellent James is. From the word go, he listened to me. He understood my athletic background and need to be able to keep active. A priority for me was to get back to ballroom dancing, which my wife and I love. He carefully considered and discussed with me, the options (or lack of them!). He didn't treat me as an idiot and took time to explain what was happening to my knee and how the repair would work. His manner towards me, as his patient, was exceptional. I just had total trust in his ability as a surgeon and in his proposed solution. My trust in James was not misplaced. My surgery, which was a partial knee relacement, went extremely well. I was in and out of hospital in a day. The wound is amazing. The staples were put in so well that the scar is really small. Each recovery is different and I have pushed mine quite hard. Both James and the team of physiotherapists at KIMS have been so supportive. They have managed my fears and anxieties about doing damage to their good work and guided me beautifully in my rehabilitation. I am now at week 13 post op and started back pilates, dancing, golf and can manage a full day's hard gardening! I still have a very long way to go to get back to full strength but is is great to know this team are in the background should I need them again. Whilst the whole team at KIMS are superb, a special mention to Tess and her marvellous administrative support to James.
