I would not recommend Mr Khan. The cataract operations improved my far vision - I can drive and watch television without glasses - but long distance still requires correction, so I have had to get new spectacles for that. I WAS told I would still require reading glasses but they are very short range indeed and need to be removed after reading a book or writing a letter. The procedures have therefore made no difference, I still need two pairs of spectacles.
I had the ops done privately but had to fork out £400 levied by Mr Khan for fitting special lenses to cure my astigmatism (BUPA would not cover this). Also his anaesthetist's fee was more than the maximum allowed by BUPA so I had to pay the extra.
