It would be nice if , after the physical examination is over, the patient could get dressed and discuss the findings with the consultant back at the desk. It is a bit disconcerting to be discussing your condition and proposed treatment whilst still undressed and lying on your back. Especially after an intimate examination. I'm sure this is all very routine for the doctor, and no cause for embarrassment but for some patients it is a bit of an ordeal and the sooner they are off the table and dressed the better. I have to say though that I was treated with kindness and respect by all the staff today.
