Share review of Mr Gerard O'Reilly
I was 6 when I was diagnosed with a highly cancerous pineal blastoma. Mr O’Reilly was happy with what he saw, not because it could kill me but because he knew he could do something.
I had an operation through the back of my head to remove most of my tumour and then had very intense chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
I finally got the all clear, and it never come back.
I returned to year 3 in school.
I’m now 28, I got D*D*D in health and social care in college, a 2:2 in Education Social Inclusion and Special Needs, and even achieved my masters in the same fields.
I owe my life to Mr O’Reilly and the great doctors and nurses that kept me living.
I’d love to meet him again and have been searching for a way to contact him to say how very great full I am for the him in the role of keeping me alive.
I am Rhianne Geldard
