I count myself fortunate indeed that Mr Bishay took on the surgical treatment of my lung cancer, a case some others had considered inoperable. From first contact with he and his team and all the way through, I felt so well informed and reassured that in retrospect my pneumonectomy surgery itself seemed like plain sailing, astonishing for one of the more complex surgery procedures undertaken, and a testament to this gifted surgeons skills. Out of hospital after 3 days, and now 12-months on, I hardly know I have had lung surgery unless I try something particularly strenuous, surely the mark of a very fine surgeon's work. Mr Bishay also has an easy communication style in his consultation sessions so it is remarkably easy to discuss complex medical matters with him without the "Specialist" barrier getting in the way. I would not have the slightest hesitation in placing myself in his very capable hands in the future if ever the need should arise.
