I was lucky enough to be referred to Heartlands into the care of Mr Bishay and his team when I was told I had a massive tumour in my right lung. Biopsies and scans had not shown a satisfactory conclusion. I needed more in-depth treatment and procedures to establish how I could be helped. From the word go I had exemplary care and guidance from everyone involved. I admit. I was scared but someone held my hand metaphorically every step of the way. Someone was always there to explain, support and encourage. My operation took 5 hours and I now know was a complete success thanks to the dedication, talent and no doubt determination of Mr Bishay and his team. I am humbled by the care and attention I have had, nothing was too much trouble. I have been told that Heartlands has the best thoracic team in Europe. That’s true and I am living proof. Mr Bishay is held in high regard, not only by his team but by all those I met. Guardian Angels come in all guises....I found mine at Heartlands on 13 March 2018
