I was referred to Mr Bishay from another thoracic surgeon, Dr Hunt. I had chronic pain in my chest since childhood and had been fobbed off from all of the doctors I had seen and was fated to be on pain killers for the rest of my life. I went to see Mr Bishay in one of his clinics at Birmingham and he was very understanding and wanted to help me from the get go. As my condition was pretty unusual he performed the xiphoid process removal under the understanding that it may not help, but he was willing to try which was more than any other doctor had offered in the past. Thankfully the surgery was a success and I haven't taken any prescription pain medication since recovery. I cannot thank or recommend Mr Bishay more.
