On the day I followed on from the previous patient who clearly was given some bad news....my husband and I felt that his mind was still on the previous patient therefore.. making my appointment hard work. One of the outcomes of my appointment was it would be ideal for me to lose weight and he would see me in six months to review this...but I wasn't weighed or height measured...clearly his focus was on something else..I had a letter sent to my doctor and a copy to me detailing the appointment..I was appalled when I received this as it stated my height and weight...( he could of only guessed this!!!!) and his guess was very wrong admittedly I should of been flattered as his guess was over 2 stone lighter than I was....but because of this it will now make my next appointment poor and it has caused me some distress even though I have lost a lot of weight ...all I can say is it was very disappointing I understand he is only human but every patient deserves to be treated appropriately and properly whatever the reason they are attending an appointment.
