I booked a consultation to see Mr Gillett because of a nasal problem which had been on going for approx a year. The symptoms included a constant blocked nose, congestion, sneezing and loss of smell. Mr Gillett was extremely professional & friendly, making me feel at ease. He explained clearly the tests he was looking to perform to hopefully make a diagnosis. The initial test was performed at the first consultation and involved a camera being inserted into each nostril. I was then sent for allergy tests and a ct scan. At my follow-up appointment, Mr Gillett showed me my ct scan & confirmed that I had a deviated septum, that he could correct with surgery if I wanted to go ahead with the procedure. Mr Gillett visited me in my hospital bed, the morning of prior to surgery, to reassure me & once again, explain the procedure. I was completely relaxed and confident that I was in safe hands. Again, Mr Gillett visited me after the op to let me know that everything went well and to provide me with aftercare instructions to ensure a smooth recovery. I am now two weeks post op and have had my final consultation with Mr Gillett.The op has been a complete success. I feel fantastic and I can breathe again - hurray! No more blocked nose and congestion. I wish I had made an appointment to see Mr Gillett when the problem first occurred.
