Dr. Gie quickly dismissed the ideal and possibility of my extreme pain/symptoms as being anything remotely related to endometriosis. He deemed them as ‘normal’ symptoms of being a woman. Regardless of being told that everything was ‘normal’, I persevered. I’ve recently had laparoscopic surgery and I’ve been diagnosed with “wide spread endometriosis across multiple organs”. He’s ignorant and archaic with a basic understanding of the field he practices in and has little care or empathy towards his patients.
