I saw Mr McElroy when I was in great pain with my shoulder. He explained fully and in detail what the problem was and recommended and X ray to confirm this and to see if I may have a tear. I was operated on within two weeks as he could see I was in great pain. He recommend things to do to try and ease the pain until the operation. He advised physio after the operation and a continued physio programme at home for several months, and some hydrotherapy. Two weeks after surgery he removed the stitches and advised that it was essential to keep the shoulder moving or I could land up with a frozen shoulder. Unfortunately this happened and Mr McElroy sorted me out with another operation to release the shoulder. All the time he was professional and caring. All my questions were answered and If I seemed unsure he used a model of the shoulder to explain. A great surgeon with a good sense of humour.
