I was recommended to Mr Fakouri by an Orthopaedic Surgeon who is the son of a doctor friend of mine. I went to see him privately in September 2021 as I have been suffering severely for the past five years with back pain and sciatica and numbness down my right leg. Mr Fakouri arranged for me to have an MRI scan three days after I saw him and after viewing the scan was of the view I needed decompression surgery. He offered to carry out the procedure on the NHS and estimated the time scale to surgery would be approximately 5 to 6 months. He carried out my hemilaminectomy operation on 28th February 2022 and much to my amazement I was able to walk out of hospital the following day. I was in no pain after the operation and have required no pain relief whatsoever. I saw Mr Fakouri on the 12th April 2022 and he discharged me as I have made such a good recovery. At that meeting he explained in detail the procedure he had carried out and asked if I had any questions. He has been kind and considerate at all times and I can't thank him enough for what he has done for me. Quite honestly, he has given me back my life. I can now walk and stand without pain and the numbness in my right leg is slowly dissipating. He told me it could take a year before it completely disappears due to the nerve damage. If you are suffering with back pain and/or sciatic pain, go and see Mr Fakouri! Rachel Smith
