Mr Blacker treated me as a “friend” from the very first meeting. He was very informative on the procedure to be carried out, which under my circumstances was very re-assuring. Understandably though it was never far from my thoughts through the waiting period. The day for the procedure came and again Mr Blacker was re-assuring and generally comforting. The operation took place in the morning and I was back on the ward. In the afternoon. Mr Blacker came to visit me in the evening and confirmed to me that the procedure had been done with no complications and all had gone well. The next morning he again came to see me and told me I could go home that day. Since then I have been perfectly fine. I have since had a follow up scan followed by a telephone conversation with him which once more was reassuring and very welcome. Through all this, he always had time listen to my questions and answer them fully. Please accept my great thanks from myself and my husband.
