Mr Anthony Antoniou

My Fiancé is under the care of Mr Antoniou at St Mark's via the complex cancer clinic (I should add that the entire team are fantastic). She was diagnosed with locally advanced bowel cancer in the summer of 2019 and is now being treated for a local recurrence. I can honestly say that Mr Antoniou has saved her life and has been a beacon of light for my fiancé and her family throughout. I am led to believe that a caring and personable surgeon is hard to find, Mr Antoniou is the epitome of these traits along with being an absolute expert in his field. He has been a reassuring pillar in an otherwise whirlwind of challenges. I won't go into the details of the diagnosis, treatment and care, but I cannot speak highly enough of him. My Fiancé refers to him as her guardian angel, which just about sums it up!

I have worked with Anthony for the last ten months, four of these directly alongside him. He is an excellent colleague and a really good surgeon. He cares for his patients, and is warm, compassionate and an excellent communicator. He specialises in advanced and complex colorectal and pelvic cancers, an very challenging area which requires significant leadership capabilities. I would be delighted to have him as a colleague in the future and would be more than happy for him to look after a family member or friend.
