With growing numbness in my legs, barely able to stand and only managing a few steps I had an emergency admission to hospital where I was diagnosed to have a thoracic prolapse and needing an immediate operation to prevent permanent damage. Mr Cook plainly explained what would happen if I did not have the operation, that it was necessary to stop things getting worse and that even post operation I might not recover my mobility and the numbness would probably continue. He answered all my questions, clearly explained how I would be after the procedure and what to expect in recovery. It was an easy decision. He visited me after the procedure to see how I was and explained what he had done. He regularly visited me during my time in hospital. At all time he was cheerful, friendly and showed real concern to my welfare. After three months my recovery is beyond expectations, I have steadily improving mobility and can walk again. I am immensely grateful to Mr Cook for his professional skill, his care of me and his encouraging support. I have no hesitation and very pleased to provide this record of my experience.
