Dear Mr Rai, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you. Prior to my successful discectomy operation, I was unable to work or look after my family due to chronic sciatic pain. When I arrived at the London Norwich Spine Clinic Hospital, I was unable to stand or walk for any period of time, so our initial greeting was in the car park. Within an hour of your initial assessment you had arranged an urgent MRI scan, which showed a small bulge on my L4/5 disc and four days later I was operated on. The nerve pain that I had been suffering from, which I can only describe as more severe than labour (I’ve three lovely children), had gone. I was able to stand straight and gently walk for short periods and more importantly I’m sciatic pain free. The level of service received from all who we met, from the Porter Jim, to the Clinical Lead Louise, was professional, friendly and incredibly caring. I can not thank you enough for your patient care. Now, nearly four months on, I have been discharged and working hard on my physio. I’m achieving 20 minutes per day on the cross trainer and taking my beloved dog on 5km walks. Thanks again for all your care. Jo Alexander
