When I decided to have a tummy tuck I did my research and found Mr Misra to be the one for me. Even before meeting Mr Misra I had given all written information of my expectations etc. From the first meeting with Mr Misra I knew I had made the right decision. I was immediately put at ease by his friendly nature. At the meeting we discussed fully about a tummy tuck procedure including pros and cons and what was the best procedure for me. At no time did I ever feel pressured to make any decisions if anything Mr Misra encouraged to have time out to digest and think seriously about information that we discussed before making any decision. I then had a further two meeting and then decided to go ahead with a full tummy tuck (abdominoplasty). We decided to have the operation at The Cromwell Hospital in London. One the day of the operation i was not worried at all as I had the upmost confidence in Mr Misra. He came to see me before the operation where again we discussed what was going to happen and of course the obligatory drawings on my tummy! The operation took five hours but to me felt like five minute once I was asleep!! Once back in my room and more with it Mr Misra came to see me again and told me op went very well etc and that I now should rest etc. the care I received from the staff at The Cromwell was excellent. I opted for a two day stay in hospital which I would recommend as it gives you time to adjust and any pain to be managed effectively. On the question of pain I can only say that for me I was never in pain it was only discomfort (tummy area is very tight). Once at home I did what Mr Misra had told me i.e. to rest and do as little as possible after the initial op. My advise is that it is important that you follow Mr Misra after care instructions totally to ensure no complications occur - we all think we can do more than we actually can! I was in constant contact with Jane (Mr Misra right hand woman) who requires a massive thank you for always being just a text message away asking if everything was going well etc. I had my op end Feb 20232, my 1st meeting was a week after my op and then a further 3 meeting my last being end April. From around 6 weeks after my op I could go back to my running (not running a marathon but short runs) and back to my normal every day routines etc. I have had no complications (my scar is so neat and tidy) and I am beyond pleased with the results. I have a last meeting with Mr Misra at the end of the year just to make sure things have been going to plan which I think just speak to the care give by Mr Misra. I could not recommend Mr Misra enough. He is highly professional, absolutely knows his stuff and his bedside manner is impeccable. Mr Misra and his assistant Jane make a very impressive team who put my care and needs as priority number 1. Best decision definitely to have Mr Misra as my surgeon.
