20 years ago, I had what was originally diagnosed as a wart on my forehead, and treated as such diagnosed at the Woking Nuffield and treated there as a basal cell carcinoma. Although it was explained then that it was unlikely that it would reappear, 18 years later, another lesion reappeared on the same location initially very small. Covid lockdown then followed meaning it was two years before I had a doctor's appointment which confirmed my own thought that this was again a bcc. I went privately to the Nuffield and, after a consultation, I was passed on to Mr Alok Misra as the growth was now too large for her to excise. I met Mr Misra a week or so later and I was immediately struck with his friendly nature and clarity in explaining my treatment options. Having decided on the form of surgery I wanted, an appointment was made for the surgery a couple of weeks later. The surgery was carried out in a most friendly and professional way and with near total lack of any pain. After the expected bruising and swelling died down, it was clear that Mr Misra's care and expertise had resulted in a very neat scar. I've had two further consultations. Following his advice on how to treat the scar to limit it showing both he and I are extremely pleased with the end result. It had been my choice, due to covid, that I left the lesion to grow to the extent it did which meant a larger operation was necessary. At all times, I knew I was in the best of hands with Mr Misra aided by his secretary Jane. My thanks to both of them.
