Due to a workplace accident on 20th May 2020 which ended in me suffering a fractured tibia and multiple knee ligament injury of the extensor mechanism, and knee dislocation, I was transferred to Mr Ali and Mr Parker at the North East London Treatment Centre where I underwent an operation for an external fixator followed by a further operation for an open reduction internal fixation with fibre tape to augment the extensor mechanism. I personally feel the two operations were very successful. I am very grateful to the two consultants for their high level of care, professionalism and surgical skills whilst always taking my own personal experience and feedback about the injury into consideration. All subsequent consultations have been very beneficial due to their willingness to listen to feedback and progress and provide appropriate advice and post operative care. A big thank you also to the theater staff who worked with the two consultants and supported my recovery, all whilst dealing with the added pressures of the start of the COVID pandemic. K Dines.
