Miss Uma Bathula

Having waited for two years for an anterior vaginal wall prolapse repair and hysterectomy under the care of a different NHS consultant I had an appointment through but with a different consultant, this being miss Bethula. I was treated at County Hospital and met her briefly on the morning of my surgery. I had a short consultation and then underwent my operation. The procedure was performed under spinal anaesthetic and went according to plan and no post operative complications. Discharged the following evening by another doctor on her team. Follow up by phone 3months later. Very happy with my outcome, can wholeheartedly recommend.

This review is about a vaginal hysterectomy, oophorectomy and prolapse repair I recently had performed by Miss Bathula. My experience from initial consultation , surgery and post op recovery was defined by the professionalism , skill and care of Miss Bathula. She demonstrated a combination of intellectual clarity , empathy and technical brilliance. She listened to my issues and was able to offer surgery as a solution. She performed the procedure extremely well. I had trust in her. I recovered very quickly. I would wholeheartedly recommend this kind, skilled , lovely lady . I am deeply grateful for her expertise, kindness and knowledge.

I was not impressed with this Doctor. She was trying to force treatment on me that another specialist has confirmed that I am intolerant to which could be life threatening. She also refused options of surgical treatment because of my weight, which the NHS has now offered as urgent because of the severity of my condition. I saw her at the Nuffield hospital in Wolverhampton that she is no longer associated with. Her follow up clinic appointment was for months after my initial consultation. I ended up in A&E multiple times from blood loss due to being dismissed as minor. This woman is not up to date on the latest women's health research and shared outdated, misogynistic attitudes with her male peers. I expected more from a private female gynecologist.

Having suffered from the age of 16yrs now 43yrs old I was under the care of Miss bathula at Rowley hospital as a NHS patient what a lovely lady she listened and understood everything I have been though and suffered we went though options and I decided an abdominal hysterectomy would help me and get my life back. The care I received was 100% and Miss bathula was amazing went though everything and made sure I was happy before the procedure went a head I knew I was in the best hands and can’t thank her enough.If I needed to see a gynaecologist again I would always ask to see her. I am forever grateful Miss bathula for the care and treatment you gave me thank you

Had an initial private appointment with Miss Bathula. What an amazing lady she is, she listens to your concerns, talks to you caringly without any embarrassment. I will be continuing in her care as an NHS patient. Thank you Miss Bathula for your help so far.

After receiving unsatisfactory treatment for many months from Stafford hospital i was eventually referred to Miss Bathula, it was a joy to find someone that listened and was sympethetic to my problem. I always felt able to discuss my concerns and had confidence in her advise and never felt rushed or ever embaressed .I am now fully recovered after my operation and eternally grateful for the care and time Miss Bathula gave to me.

At last, someone who listens, I was a high risk total abdo hysterectomy patient, zero infection, perfect healing despite being a larger lady, such care and understanding to my plight and struggles for 10 years! To have no infection, and perfect healing is invaluable and just highlights the skill and good practice ms Bathula has. I cannot rate her enough!

I have been seeing Mrs Bathula in and off for several years with the same problem. Just had a full hysterectomy and no more treatment needed. She is an amazing doctor but such a lovely person t. She offers comfort and reassurance and nothing is too much trouble for her. I have no hesitation in recommending her to any female with gynaecological problems.

I attended the Gynaecology department of Stafford Hospital and on the 06/01/21 I had a vaginal hysterectomy and anterior repair under the care of Miss Bathula . The operation went very well and I had no pain at all. I was delighted the next day to be told I would be able to go home. I had been concerned about leaving my husband as I am his carer. Every member of staff that I came into contact with was very caring and considerate. They made my time in hospital a pleasure, at a time when they had endured months of pressure and stress, and yet were still able to be re-assuring. The meal I had at lunchtime was a delicious chicken dinner. I was home for tea-time and couldn't believe how lucky I had been.. I felt so well, much better than when I went into hospital. I was able to slip back into my caring role and 4 months later I have had no problems. I had great care. I couldn't ask for better treatment.

I have been under the care of Uma Bathula for approx. 18 months with age and menopause related issues. My initial consultation due to the pandemic was carried out over the telephone, which initially i was rather disappointed about. However I didn't need to have any concerns as I wasn't rushed and given the opportunity to explain all of my issues and symptoms. Over the coming months I had various tests and all results were clearly explained and treatment options discussed. I was also referred to the physiotherapy department, this referral has been simply amazing. I have been able to removed some symptoms and greatly improve others, my quality of life day to day is wonderful and my overall health and wellbeing has also improved. Uma Bathula is an understanding and compassionate individual as have all of her colleagues that I have come into contact with over this period of time. Thank you for making life great again.
