A consultation with Miss Nawar Al-Shabibi left me in tears.
She was rude, demonstrated no empathy and very unhelpful. After waiting 7 months, albeit because of Covid-19 which cannot be helped, the 18 minute telephone consultation was awful. No support was offered and Miss Nawar Al-Shabibi's manner was incredibly patronising.
Following a consultation with another member of the gynaecology team thanks to my GP re-referring me, I was referred to a specialist and offered surgery within a month. I was reassured about the safety of the procedure, after it seemed Mis Nawar Al-Shabibi did her utmost to scare me.
Months on and reflecting on this consultation I'm still upset about how I was made to feel at a time I was struggling to manage chronic pelvic pain.
