Dr Uparkar has given Sebastian excellent care.
She listens to our views as parents and takes that into consideration when advising on the course of treatment. It was highly reassuring to hear that she has experience dealing with this particular type of cancer, which is rare and largely unknown by others we have encountered. She went to great lengths to explain everything in great detail and answered all of our questions comprehensively; there was no rush and her time was ours for as long as we needed it.
Dr Uparkar is very personable and has built an excellent rapport with our son, and always enquiries about how we are coping. As the care has progressed she has taken our considerations into account and has modified her treatment based on recommendations from our specialised care clinic, which has shown us that she truly wants the best outcome.
