This doctor was the worst GP I have ever had the misfortune to see. His manner was rude, dismissive and uncaring. I attended to obtain some test results as the practice had delayed giving me them for 3 months, despite my having had an appointment at the surgery 3 months previously and being told by a locum GP there were no problems. Unfortunately, the results yielded bad news with a potential cancer risk. This doctor gave me no reassurance, failed to answer any of my questions or allay any of my fears. Instead he told me I needed to calm down in a demeaning manner and was rude to me. I left the surgery in tears and decided to pay to see a consultant privately to make up for lost time and receive some answers because he did not help me at all. I think a bit of understanding, empathy and respect for patients would greatly improve his standard of care.
