Way back in 1996 following a heart attack I became a patient of Dr. Susannah Hardman at the Whittington Hospital . I was fifty years old facing the prospect of the bleakest and darkest hours of my life. I was seen by Dr. Hardman with little or no hope of resuming my career which I loved . I resigned to the fact that I will be told to take an early retirement to avoid a stressful situation at work. I explained my mental agony to Dr. Hardman . She did not say I will have to go for an early retirement .instead she said that she will try her best to help me return to my working life.and she did ! The rest was history. She gave me a a new lease of life. I was overwhelmed with her care and compassion. Twenty six years later I am still here to tell this wonderful experience that I had with Susannah Herdman. I am sure during her long successful career as a consultant cardiologist she has helped a lot of other patients like me. But I look upon this as a blessing in my life for which I am ever grateful to her. I wish her the very best of life in everything she does and enjoys. I strongly believe that she has been an asset for the NHS whose dedication and expertise in Cardiology has saved many lives.
