Dr. Moenks has been my GP for nearly a decade and I always felt she had my best interests at heart. I have a number of diagnosed health issues which leave me in considerable chronic pain but Dr Moenks has always maintained that medication is not the solution and alternative treatment is best (such as mindfulness and mental health support). I've been on an ever increasing cocktail of anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications but my mobility and chronic pain has only worsened over time.
I recently found out that Dr Moenks labelled me a drug seeker, alcoholic and included absurd quotes in my medical notes that painted me as a drug addict with self-inflicted mental health issues due to alcoholism. Aside from the fact that these quotes were a work of fiction, that I have never had more than the occasional glass of wine, that I haven't had pain relief for years, and that I willingly stopped pain relief any time the practice suggested I do so (many years ago)... Dr Moenks has decided to double down on her belief that I am playing a decade long con, that I have hoodwinked specialists, faked MRI scans and every diagnosis to-date, just to trick her into providing something stronger than over the counter paracetamol.
My active health conditions were removed from my medical records before being shared with my insurer and alarmingly the DWP, but not before ludicrous quotes about me threatening to drink away my pain if I didn't get pain relief which I can't fathom how Dr Moenks got there from an occasional drink in the evening.
Dr Moenks suggests herbal tea, mindfulness, mental health services as a solution to an appointment over pain management. When you say that you've already had years of therapy and been through wellbeing several times, she writes on your notes that you're declining treatment so that anyone who sees your records would think you're choosing to remain incapacitated, and not that you're questioning why the diagnosis, investigations of specialists and no history of pain medication abuse is being answered with yet another mental health referral.
If you are a patient of Dr Moenks and she has told you she wishes she had a magic wand to take all your problems away, I would implore you to submit a Subject Access Request to review her summaries of your appointments. There is clearly a non-zero chance you're labelled a drug seeker or alcoholic or anything in-between and from what I've learnt, she has a prejudice towards not believing chronic pain patients and using statements such as claiming patient is taking paracetamol to justify labelling them as a drug seeker.
Dr. Moenks very quickly understood my health issues and prescribed antibiotics to help clear my chest infection. She asked me to return to see her Three days later which I did.
After a further examination, she prescribed further medication to help accelerate my recovery, and asked me to return in Three days. By now, I am feeling much better and Dr Moenks was pleased with my progress and prescribed further medication to ensure the infection was eradicated completely. In short, Dr Moenks is the best and most caring doctor that I have seen in my 64 years. An amazing lady!
Thank you so much for being so kind, caring and sweet. It was such a pleasure to see you :)
My first meeting with GP was not a good one, I have suffered with cronic pain for 20 years and have only managed to get my condition under control for the past 3. After admitting that she had no idea about my situation or the medication I have been given for 15 years, she went on to accuse me and my wife of lying about my condition. She then decided to unilaterally change my pain management regime, she would not listen to my explanation of how I'm affected on a daily basis, This GP is not interested in the individual and has no concern for the outcome of the situation. PLEASE AVOID THIS GP AT ALL COSTS.
DR. MOENKS IS AN INCREDIBLE DOCTOR. SHE DOESN'T INTIMIDATE HER PATIENT'S LIKE MY HUSBAND AND MYSELF. SHE TREATS US BOTH AS A PROFESSIONAL LEVEL AND WITH ON A PERSONAL LEVEL. SHE DOESN'T DO ALL THE TALKING LIKE SOME DOCTOR'S, I'VE HAD AT OTHER SURGERIES THAT THEY MISDIAGNOSED MY HUSBAND AND I.
SHE IS A SPECIAL BREED OF DOCTOR'S THAT ALLOWS THE PATIENT TO TELL THEIR PROBLEMS AND THEIR CONCERNS. I STUDIED BIOLOGY WITH THE OPEN UNIVERSITY, SO THAT , IF I'VE RESEARCHED MY HUSBAND AND MY CONDITIONS COMING ACROSS NEW INFORMATION -SHE WRITES DOWN INFORMATION, AFTER END OF CONSULTATION. SHE IS ALWAYS INTERESTED IN INFORMATION AND OR RESEARCH INTO MY PULMONARY SARCOIDOSIS AND CONGENITAL HEART CONDITION.
MOST G.P.'S WITH LESS THAN TEN YEARS UNDER THEIR BELT CAN MISS RELEVANT CLUES TO A PATIENT'S HEALTH.
DR. MOENKS IS A HIGHLY TRAINED PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWS THAT A PATIENT'S ILLNESS CAN BE FOUND IN SOMETHING LIKE THE FINGERS AND FINGERNAILS. SHE IS ONE OF OUR FAVOURITE DOCTOR'S THAT ARE NO LONGER TIMBER HILL, BUT ARE NOW NORWICH PRACTICES LIMITED AND WALK-IN-CENTRE AT RUOEN HOUSE AT RUOEN ROAD, HERE IN NORWICH. DR.'S LOMAX, PEREZ, POPPA AND DR. MOENKS ARE IN OUR OPINIONS THE BEST DOCTOR'S IN NORWICH..
THEY ALL TAKE TIME TO LISTEN, AS DOES THE NURSING STAFF AND PHARMACIST.
DR. MOENKS, WHO IS ONE OF OUR PREFERRED G.P.'S CAUGHT MY SEPSIS EARLY THIS YEAR, OR END LAST YEAR AROUND NOVEMBER TO GET ME INTO HOSPITAL RENAL WARD. I HAVE CKD STAGE 3B ,AS I HAVE ONLY ONE WORKING KIDNEY, AND UNABLE TO HAVE DIALYSIS,AS IT IS TOO BADLY DAMAGED.
MY DOCTOR'S KNOW THAT I REFUSE ANY CHEMO OR RADIOTHERAPY, AS I HAD BEEN GIVEN IN 2011, CHEMOTHERAPY THAT MADE ME VIOLENTLY SICK AND I'LL FOR TWO WEEKS AND WITH ONLY HALF A DOSE INTRAVENOUSLY. IT MAY HAVE BEEN LESS THAN THAT...REGARDLESS, I'VE BEEN EXPOSED TO HIGH LEVEL OF TOXINS, WHEN OUR/MY DAUGHTER WAS THREE IN AMERICA.
MY BODY NEEDS NO MORE POISON, AS I WAS EXPOSED TO A HIGH LEVEL OF NEUROTOXINS IN AMERICA.
DR. MOENKS IS AWARE OF MY THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS AT OUR SURGERY AT RUOEN HOUSE.
DR. MOENKS IS ONE OF THE FEMALE G.P.'S AT OUR SURGERY THAT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
