Dr Struik is currently my clinical supervisor during my paediatric rotation (Aug 2010-Feb 2010). She is very approachable and has helped me set out realistic, achievable goals relevant to a career in general practice during our first meeting. She has been proactive in teaching activities in the department, both in lectures for paediatric grand round, seminars in handover teaching and in a recent case based discussion where I received good, constructive feedback. These sessions have been both informative and enjoyable and have demonstrated the level of expertise Dr Struik has within her field.
