He always explains patiently and with kindness to myself and my partner who is the patient. My partner always feels at ease in appointments. He also has great sense of humour when appropriate. No one whats illness but if you are unfortunate Dr Lau is definitely the medical professional you would want in your corner.
Dr Lau is skilled and experienced oncologist, very caring and competent and always a good communicator, trustworthy and I would recommend him highly. Thorough and will chase up delays without hesitation.
Ok, my wife was diagnosed with colon cancer stage 4b mt liver. Doctor said that we need to start chemo ASAP. He recommend full impact chemo with Irinotecan (Campto ®) and after tests for dna Panitumumab (Vectibix ®) which is biological therapy.
After a months my wife started it and after my research we ask for irinotecan in minimun dose. We didn't want it at all, but it work smth like buy one get other half price. After our CLAIM doctor Lau decreased dose of irinotecan to 60%.
Just before chemo start my wife has MRI scan and we wanted to have a look on results to compare it with results from 2 months earlier. Then problems start 3 weeks waiting for get to know about filling a form and after that we have 21-40 days to wait to get a scans. Doctor Lau went on holidays he's coming back 1st September, we cant see those scans before it.
