I first met Dr Madathil in the CPAP clinic. I entered the room and was told to sit down. Without even looking at me (he was looking at the computer), he said: "what's your collar size?". I was flummoxed. He looks up and says: "Oh, oh, you're a woman!" It was very rude. About 2 years later, I had an accident and was admitted to the QE. I was put on the medical ward, I one of "his" beds. I was helpless and in a lot of pain. I had also been passing out in A&E and was feeling very vulnerable and a bit disoriented. Madathil stood by the bed and said: " Well, you can't stay here! This is an acute bed!". He wanted to pack me off to the geriatric hospital. I was very upset by all this. It look 2 weeks before my xrays were rechecked, and it turned out I had a serious break in my leg. As a result of his attitude, I was treated very meanly by the nursing staff for a whole month. I am NOT happy with Dr Madathil. I am now a lot better and if I see him again, I have a mind to tell him what he has done.
