Unfortunately I was placed under her care at the age of 19 and she has shown nothing but ageism and discrimination. After explaining my symptoms of dissociation she laughed at me and told me “all the kids are getting that these days”. She has continued to convey her lack of empathy towards me and has laughed in my face for exhibiting catatonic symptoms due to anxiety. She also attempted to get my friend who had accompanied me to the appointment to laugh at me with her. When I was sectioned in Bushey Fields she saw me after five days and told me I was okay to be discharged, this was after 10 minutes of being invalidated and mocked, she went so far as to joke about me overdosing. I attempted to obtain freedom of information from her to see what she’d actually been putting in my notes and die to her evidently not doing her job correctly I’ve been pushed from pillar to post to get a hold of these notes (that I am entitled to). Her team has repeatedly let down many people including me and members of my family. If you are under the age of 30 do not accept being seen by this “psychiatrist” as you may also be a victim of her ongoing intolerance and thoughtless practices. Dr Sara Smith and her team may as well be the cause of death on many certificates.
