Dr. Lawes is a very competent doctor, who listens. I was recently assigned to Dr. Lawes when my previous doctor left the practice in order to work at our nearby hospital. I am extremely pleased with the level of service and knowledge that Dr. Lawes portrays and am looking forward to being her patient for the long term.

After the exceptional GP that I saw for about 20 years retired, it was inevitable that I found it hard to find a replacement. When Ruth Lawes joined the surgery and I saw her for the first time, I was delighted. I found her to be professional, knowledgeable, relaxed and reassuring. She also has a sense of humour ! I am generally fit and well but have recently had the occasional health problem. I am now entering my sixties, and more likely to need health care. I am pleased that I have found a GP that I like and trust and who will, hopefully, be able to provide my future health care. These days it is not always possible to see a particular GP at the surgery, but I am on her list and will wait if my problem is not urgent. I can also ask for her to phone me if necessary, which has been helpful.
