I met Dr de Palma for the first time today as an out-patient and I am delighted to report my initial impressions. He impressed me enormously by his attention to and interest in every aspect of my health history, checking through every possible indication over the past few years and giving me over half an hour of his time. He spent a considerable time explaining symptoms, possible ways forward and his recommendations for current medication as well as options, potentially, for surgery. Putting me on 6 monthly checks, he emphasised that should my condition deteriorate in the meantime, I should contact his secretary directly so that he could schedule an earlier appointment, without the necessity of doing so through my GP. I found the whole experience extremely reassuring and I left the consultation with confidence that I was in very good hands.
