I was referred to Dr Gregory by my GP. He quickly diagnosed Parkinson’s disease that was in 2010 at the age of 42. He referred me to Parkinson’s nurse Alison, whom looked after me for the next 6 years untill my symptoms and drug regime affected my quality of life more than I considered acceptable. During this time Alison was Excelent. Having been referred back to Dr Gregory. My drugs regime was altered to accommodate my lifestyle Jokingly at an appointment I asked if I could have some implants ‘popped in’. After the laughter and you have to be kidding, Dr Gregory put his serious hat on and explained some of the risks and process that we, my wife and I would have to go through, not least the 200 mile round trips to the John Radcliffe in Oxford, for tests and assessments. At the end of February 2018 I was accepted for the implants. On 5th May I had them fitted by prof Aziz and his Excelent team. I am returning on the 3rd June to have them switched on. Through out Dr Gregory and all the medical and admin staff at both hospitals have been fabulous. Dr Gregory has from the beginning been professional, truthful and most importantly approachable, with no question being to small or stupid. I would like on behalf of myself and my wife our gratitude for putting me forward for this procedure regardless of the outcome. The procedure may not be for all, but I am glad that I have had it done. Thanks to all again. To the future, as my grandchildren say ‘infinity and beyond’. I think they’ve heard it some were.
