I had to visit Kingston A&E twice, once in June and again 4 days ago with my 12 yr old son who sustained sporting related injuries. We saw Dr Halliday the first time and I was extremely impressed with the quality of care my son received from him. He was patient and kind to my son who was in a lot of pain. He conversed with my son to establish what happened and listened attentively to his details. During examination, he was again very gentle and patient in getting my son to do the things he required to extract a thorough examination but he managed this seamlessly whilst talking to him throughout. This was all also done in an extremely efficient time frame and didn't take too long. he referred us to XR and then was very prompt in reviewing the outcome, recommending treatment and ensuring that all was clear before we left. We were asked to return 1 week later for a review in A&E and we were very pleased and surprised to see him again on review (often in the NHS patients do not see the same doctor twice!). 4 days ago when we had to visit again for another injury, I was very pleased (and so was my son) when it turned out he would be dealing with us again! Our experience on this occasion was of the same high quality as previously experienced. Thank you very much! I would just like to add here that we saw and were also treated by other staff - nurses and radiographers and I wanted to add that all were very professional, helpful and kind. The NHS gets a lot of very bad press due to a small few but we were impressed with our experience of the NHS
