Following a severe sore throat and cold in January, this has left me with a persistant night time cough and wheezing, particularly when lying down, hence I have been using Salbutamol Asthma inhaler on a regular basis since then. I was first treated for exacerbation of Asthma in December 2015. Recently I contacted the surgery to check whether I should be having a regular Asthma review, and the receptionist booked me for a telephone call from the GP the following Tuesday. This did not happen either on Tuesday or Wednesday and yet I had my phone with me all the time. When I checked up on this, on the Friday, my GP had left a note on the system "THIS PATIENT DOES NOT NEED A REVIEW AS NOT USING INHALERS' Unfortunately he left the above message without phoning me directly to check, about usage. I am extremely concerned that he did not contact me to check, and that he has left the above message about me, which is now out of date. He is now on annual leave, however, I am looking forward to both an apology and explanation as to why he did not check before writing the above message.
