I feel he did not listen to my symptoms at all. I told him along with my constant headache behind my eyes I was also suffering from neck pain at the base of my skull. He completely dismissed this and told me it was nothing to do with the muscles, and that I had chronic migraine. He was very confident with his diagnosis and said the pills will work. His prescription of lamotrigine made me severely ill, my headache became even worse, reaching 10/10 on the pain scale and leaving my screaming and crying in agony. When I tried to contact him to ask for advice it took a few days to hear back. I found out recently he had misdiagnosed me with chronic migraine, as I was suffering with occipital neuralgia from chronic tension in my suboccipital muscles, the same muscles which he specifically told me it had nothing to do with. Due to this misdiagnosis I have carried on to suffer with a constant headache for a whole year, resulting in severe anxiety, panic attacks and depression.
