I have known Dr Renshaw for many years. He is always kind, compassionate and gives you whatever time you need. I have had many problems over the years and he has supported me through many hard times, but more so recently with my mental health. He has gone above and beyond, contacting the mental health team for me and speaking with my CPN. He has even called my husband and spoken to him about my health care plan and also enquiring about how he is coping with my illness and suicide attempts and feelings. I also feel well supported over making a decision to leave my career and apply for medical retirement pension. Dr Renshaw has made me feel reassured that it's ok to talk about my mental health and that it's an illness and nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed about. It has got to the point where I cannot make or receive telephone calls due to voices and hallucinations and Dr Renshaw is working with me to try and find alternative ways to communicate with me without provoking further " episodes". The entire surgery is amazing the receptionists, care navigators Nurses support workers managers and all the GPs. The waiting area is clean and tidy, you get appointments on the day and if you need a follow up the dr can give you a slip of paper ro take to the front desk which allows the receptionist to make the appt for you. The only downside to the surgery is the car park which is really small and the only downside to Dr Renshaw is that he is too good and too popular so it's hard to get an appt with him!!!! One of the most patient, caring, genuine and honest doctors I have ever met.
