I repeatedly told this Dr that there was 'something' wrong with my back. He dismissed me each time until he finally, very rudely said he would refer me to a physio. I went to the physio and she also said she could find nothing but pressed heavily on the area in question. Something seemed to snap and within a day my leg was numb. I returned to the Dr and he, again dismissed me, saying it was a trapped nerve. This trapped nerve forced me to purchase an automatic car! I returned to Dr Wallwork many times, nerve is trapped, even sciatica (it wasn't), and he would do NOTHING. My work colleagues were extremely worried and one suggested I visit her osteopath, which I did for a month, I wasn't getting any better and he suggested I ask for an MRI. Again Dr Wallwork refused and dismissed me, I could hardly walk. Went back to the osteopath and he said he would write a letter but to try again, which I did. This time it was a locum Dr who said they would arrange it. I had an MRI on the Tuesday morning and by Thursday the surgery were trying to contact me. I went in on the Friday morning to see another Dr (NOT WALLWORK) to be told I had 2 slipped discs (turns our I hadn't) and a MASS, I pointed to where the pain was and she was surprised and asked how I knew where it was. I told her to check my records. Surgery at Leeds General took out a 7 inch tumour that was the coating of the nerves, it had burst our and was touching my lung, they had taken as much as they could without damaging the lung. I am now unable to walk very far at all, have to use a stick in my home and a walker with seat when out. If only Dr Wallwork and taken me seriously and acted sooner I would not be in this position now, almost housebound. In all the time since my operation until I moved, I was never been given an appointment with Dr Wallwork. I wish I had found this site sooner.
