diagnosed a condition and gave treatment. treatment helped .noticed hands problem which other docs are blaze about..very rushed appointment and seemingly disinterested or little interest and hand test not given as he said but having said that was the only one to offer a diagnosis which could fit symptoms but has since progressed and at least offered a treatment that helped though stopped by another physician.was aware can have more than one condition and in hindsight I should have seen again and I may not be suffering so much now, but see a different rheumy who was awful.Had he been more attentive to and less rushed their may have been a different outcome and I may not be in the awful position I am now ,but he acknowledged and offered a helpful treatment which is more than ive had since and could have been a good doc for me if not rushed and did test he said did. would still recommend given alternative doc but suggestion of caring manner , not so rushed and more attentive when you are nervous of what's happening to health to lead you to see them would improve care to match any knowledge. His treatment gave relief for a few months of what I now know not what ails me and getting no help and I am paying for in not returning to him in a very big way.Im pretty sure with my worsening he would have had the knowledge to help if only the time given and not left me all this time suffering as I sought help elsewhere because of, at my cost health wise, but with good reason.I should have given this doc a second chance rather than gp advice of a second opinion, I could have then spoken to him personally about this but continued to get help from him.My ratings of trust are for a reason but having only seen once I as state should have seen again, recognising the busy workload of docs and could have arranged at a later date but my health I take seriously, and nervous at time of then problems. In hindsight I would recommend if a less rushed appointment and a tad of empathy, after all we don't visit docs for the want but need.Acknowledgement and knowledge are priority , but time offered and manner to suggest your concerns matter can make the difference.
