Dr Denvir is exactly the sort of person you would wish to see as a Doctor. He was simply fabulous after I had an MI. I became anxious and depressed and terrified that I would leave my daughter motherless at a young age. He was so kind and caring and went out of his way to listen and help. He showed amazing empathy and understanding and spent a great deal of time explaining my situation and trying to ease my concerns and fear. When I was first admitted with symptoms and a blood test in A and E showed I had had a heart attack, he made a point of coming to meet me while I was awaiting transferal to a ward. It was a holiday weekend (early hours of the Saturday) and he was going off shift but still made the time to come and talk to me and let me know what was happening. I was admitted again weeks later after further pain (likely caused by anxiety) and he again spoke with me and really listened to my concerns and took me seriously despite the likelihood the symptoms were due to fear and panic in the aftermath of the initial MI. I experienced the same again from him at a follow up consultation and he has also responded to queries from my GP and a consultant re. HRT being prescribed for me. If there were more Dr Denvirs the NHS would be an even better place!
