Generally we find this a very good practice, our main concerns centre around the hours of over. We grew up with our GP's undertaking their own night calls etc.our experience of the out of hours cover has been far from satisfactory, to many questions and not enough assistance. One has a feeling of vulnrablity with the lack of medical cover out of hours. I repeat our experience of the out of hours cover on the very few occasions we have required assistance has been far from satisfactory. Advice to go to our local A & E Dept. some 8 miles away situated in a not very accessable part of Halifax and wait for several hours is not acceptable. Whereas we were used to using our local GP surgery for minor injuries again now we either call upon the Ambulance Service or once more face the 8 mile journey along a very narrow crowded road. We would wish to see a GP treatment centre in our area hopefully taking some of the strain of the A & E dept and the Ambulance service.

Dr Davies has recently helped me to get over 2 minor strokes,get over the death of my mother & help me to get my diabetes under control. not to mention, stopping me having a nervous breakdown! He has shown a great ability to listen & a natural flair for getting to the heart of the medical issues causing concern. I would recommend Dr Davies to anyone.
