I personally found Dr Gomes to be exceptionally rude and impatient. I do not usually feel motivated to write reviews on doctors, however with this horrible person, I feel that people should highlight unacceptible behaviour. To be as clear and fair as possible, I will include examples. This includes the obvious belittling of her other staff members. She refused to speak to a nurse, nor a specialist nurse. She could however foster some politeness for the palliative care consultant. She has also on numerous occasions been very rude to other staff members, indeed she has developed a reputation for being abusive. She was unclear on certain medications and whilst noone can know everything, there is GMC guidance on knowing one's limitations and she seems unwilling to do this and clearly has a difficulty accepting advice from those she feels are subordinate to her. This review is also being sent in tandem with a formal complaint, however I felt this would also be a useful additional forum.
