I spoke with Dr Millington yesterday regarding my chronic back pain. In the past Dr's have been dismissive or very negative when i request additional or stronger pain relief for flares, but Dr Millington was very understanding and supportive. It was clear she had checked my notes before calling me, and was aware this was an ongoing problem, which I had contacted the surgery about before. She listened to my concerns and hesitations about stronger pain relief, and took the time to discuss a few options with me, allowing us to come to a mutually agreeable prescription. I felt an important part of the consultation, and did not feel rushed or like I was taking up time. Dr Millington is clearly a wonderful GP and the surgery is lucky to have her, and I feel I would request her in the future, is she were available.
