This doctor effectively saved my life after I contracted Covid last year at the height of the pandemic. She prescribed me antibiotics. My next door neighbour caught Covid at the same time as me. Sadly, he wasn’t so lucky and he died in hospital. Yes, I survived. The doctor sent a paramedic to examine me when I first contracted the disease. It was an emergency after all. I was intrigued by the device, a pulse oximeter, the paramedic used to measure my heart rate which was perfectly normal. I bought one for myself. Now for the bad news. Something extremely worrying happened before the Covid went into remission. The alarm kept sounding on the device. The heart is sandwiched between the lungs and vulnerable to a Covid attack. I kept a journal of my racing heart rates. I measured the heart rates of others, even Covid survivors. Only mine continues to race like a Formula One car which is about to crash in flames…
